The Evangelical Reform church in Zurich’s old town is one of the most well attended churches in the city. The requirements for new lighting that were put out to tender were varied: The light should be extremely economical during the day. For sacral occasions it should be dimmable but also designed as ideal concert lighting. In order to meet the different requirements in the best possible way, LIGHT ON recreated the church virtually and integrated the photometric data. With a film the LIGHT ON concept with different lighting moods was illustrated to the building owners on a virtual tour through the building. This specified standard components with an output of just 2.5 to max. 3.5 kilowatts. The concept can be implemented economically efficiently with the help of two special plano-convex lenses.
