CHURCHES & HISTORIC PRESERVATION
Putting churches in a new, brilliant light is at the heart of what we do. As early as 1994, LIGHT ON illuminated its first church. For this we designed a new luminaire in collaboration with the famous Venetian glassblower Carlo Moretti, which was convincing both in terms of its design and the brilliance of the light. Over the years, it became numerous church projects and other monumental lighting works, such as in the Zurich Opera House. As early as 2004, LIGHT ON increased the output of the huge, 800-kilogram baroque chandelier and perfected its lighting quality through skillful “fine tuning”.
Developed from the challenge to get the optimum of light power and luminous intensity out of partly existing or listed luminaires is today’s motto of LIGHT ON: “The art of fine tuning light”.
