Welcome to the project ETH Physics Instutute

ETH Physics Instutute

A replacement for the neon lighting in the entrance area had to be found for one of the main listed buildings of the ETH University at Hönggerberg. LIGHT ON came up with a convincing argument which won over the Swiss Office for the Preservation of Monuments: the technology had already been successfully deployed on the facade of the Jelmoli department store in Zurich. The existing fluorescent lighting was replaced by a new LED technology that enables the desired neon effect to be achieved. Two upsides of the new lighting solution are that the desired visual look has been preserved while energy consumption costs have fallen.
