THEO HOUSE

THEO HOUSE

Rich architectural ornamentation is a feature of many houses in Canton Graubünden and the Upper Engadine. At the client’s request, the richly decorated gables of Theo house were to be highlighted with back-lighting. While LIGHT ON were fitting this, the client replaced the planned animal symbols with a simple pattern of elegant, incised straight lines. White reflector sheets behind the gables which serve to ensure uniform backlighting at night, also serve to highlight the ornamentation during the day. Innovative, glare-free RMJ downlighting additionally highlights the façade corners and entrance columns. For the entire project, great importance was attached to avoiding light pollution.
